Cinder jumps down from her tree and she hunts. She runs the quickest route to the other side of the forest where the moose lived. She disappears into the bushes, waiting for her victim.

Waking from his moment faint did Arrow look out with blured vsion. Geting up as his head cleard did he remember the chickmunk and the horror. feeling a sudden burst of Rage and fear did he look for the little pest. "Were are you youvermin?!" he growld with anger. all he thought was to protect his adopted pack. exspecally his mate Amethyst and his son Boulder. "no one will put a fang to paw on my family." he growled as a sudden idea hit his head. Feeling the rush of hope that it might work did he put his body in mostion. His fur riseing and all matted, his claws out exstended, his fangs bared as drool feel from his lips. His tail up and swaying madly, his whole body tense and ready to attack. his ears twitching with out control. pawing the ground with rage and the look of bloodthristy esxpression on his face. And finally his green eyes blazing a green fire in narrowed deadly slits. "This should do a voice said in his head as he walked to the chickmunk in a very dominant and aggrissive way. stoping not far off did he nip his leg, drawing blood. seeing it run down his leg did he have a moment flash back of his dad. he looked just like this. shacking his head did Arrow start barking and yelping and fake hitting the vermin. trying to give it its own medication.

Cinder sees a male moose away from the herd. She stalks it without no sound. The moose turns around to find his herd but it is too late. Cinder stands up a little, getting ready to run fast. She strides quickly towards the moose silently. Gradually, the stride turns into a powerful run. The moose runs fast at top speed. Cinder runs at top speed also, without stopping. She gets closer to the moose. The moose turns back to fight back. It runs toward her. Cinder runs towards it and the moose gets closer. She stretches her claws and she leaps towards it's throat biting it as her claws sinks into it's neck. The moose lifts it neck. Cinder uses her weight to pull the neck back down. Slowly, it's throat begins to rip. The moose falls down, tired. To make sure it is dead, she twists his throat. Cinder paces around and sits regaining her energy. Shortly, she begins to feast.

Daniel watched over the pack from the edge of the forest, her eyes narrowed and empty. She felt she had no use for emotions at the time. Nothing felt right to her anymore, as if she had nothing to really look forward too.

The Koti Den - Part 5 - Page 15 Siggie12
Prowling across the exposed landscape, the frigid winds struck the moving frame of an ivory adorned wolf. Silent as a feather on the breeze, she drifted over the snow as if being drawn by an invisible thread. Turning her glacial hued optics to land before her. The silhouette of a golden wolf stood out amongst the darkened grey sky. Shadow tilted her head to the side attempting to recall the golden pelt that shone like a sun on an open blue sky. Drawing closer to the figure that sat perched near the cliffs edge it almost seemed the golden fae was lost, wrapped up in the depths of her own thoughts, lost in another realm. "Hello Daniel," Shadow spoke softly toward the golden wolf. The name of the fae echoed in Shadow's thoughts and faint memories of their previous encounter arose to the surface. Pausing a few strides away from Daniel, Shadow's gaze remained fixed upon the troubled wolf, searching for clues as to her misery.

Daniel's head snapped around as her name left another female's lips. "Hello, Shadow." She replied frostily, her amber eyes like flints. She curled her lip in distaste of a conversation. She felt bad about her behavior and attitude, but for some reason, she felt as if others deserved to share her bad temper if they were in her presence. Perhaps one of her close friends like Kendrick or Siren could make her feel better, but she didn't know.

Shadow's glacial hoed orbs met the livid amber within the depths of Daniels optics. Daniel's distaste in her clearly had not morphed over their time spent apart. A dull ember of anger alit within the femme. Her jaws slid further downward grinding against the pale white surface. Inhaling sharply, Shadow aloud her muscles to release the tension but her tail continued to twitch slowly against the snow. Lowering herself back onto her hunches, Shadow sat comfortably upon the white blanket. "How have you been?" She asked monotonously.

Daniel's tail tip twitched. Her irritation was obviously growing. Her paws itched to slam hard into something, prey, or other canines face. But, being a Proti, that would be frowned upon.

The frost was nothing new; in fact, his paws had grown quite accustomed to thier demeaning temperatures. The pads had grown firm, and the nails had been rubbed blunt, so much so that there was barely any feeling to his feet at all. Stepping across the frozen land was no difficult thing.
He emerged from his lair, his thick coat blocking the violent slashing winds and his green eyes reflecting lighter against the tossing snow. His tail whipped behind him, and he approached his pack with a nonchalant face, keeping his eyes trained on his two collegues - Daniel and Shadow. Greeting them, the wolf dipped his large head towards to two, folding his ears back slightly in respect. "Salutations again, you two." His voice was deep and guttural, as always.

They seemed to be in a dispute. Or at least one of them was feeling irate. Swallowing, the male slid his emerald pools from one canine to the other, silently watching thier postures and thier tones. They were good Protis, and he was glad that they had not proven him wrong for appointing them. "Winter's approaching, ladies. The pack will need to be prepped for the long enduring."

Daniel felt her hackles raise and her fur start to bristle as Shadow continued to stay where she was. Her lips curled to reveal sharp, white glistening teeth. She stopped mid-snarl as Siren approached. "Great, more wolves." She muttered, snow clouding her gaze where she couldn't really see Siren. She blinked and sniffed the air, catching his scent. Guilt and fear pricked her pelt, but she bit her tongue. She didn't know what to say, she was still agitated.

The Koti Den - Part 5 - Page 15 Shadow10
Receiving no reply, Shadow merely turned her gaze away from the golden toned fae. The annoyance was clearly gnawing at the bones of Daniel just as much as it did for Shadow. Queerly enough the thought brought a weighted joy to the femme. Within the depths of her over casted soul the joy twisted in upon itself. She almost wanted to taunt the golden fae, to mock her anger. The possibility of a fight brought a tingle to her paws, a new energy that sparked within her veins. It would be so simple, so quick, so… flawless. Keeping her senses fixed upon the golden fae, Shadow looked toward the dagger like mountains appearing to be transfixed in their finely scalloped edges. "The mountains are beautiful this time of year," she commented, her tone lifting slightly but remaining empty of emotion. "The peeks curved like a talon preparing to tear into its prey, don't you think?"

The sound of a rhythmic crunching beneath the paws of an approaches drew Shadow's attention away from Daniel. She blinked, stunned by the sight before her, the familiar darker pelt of a brute drawing near. Siren? Shadow could not believe her sight, the Doyen who abandoned them what seemed like months ago had returned, looking well rested and alive. Narrowing her glacial hued optics, the femme scrutinized the male but she could not bring her anger toward him. She had made her own trips seeking solitude in the past and was not about to provoke the leader over a similar matter.

"Good day," Shadow replied politely, dipping her crown toward the male wolf in a polite greeting. "Winter has been stalking us in every waking hour." She muttered in agreement before lifting her voice again. "Should we begin with the hunting parties or prepping the den for the bitter cold?"

Daniel's snide remark brought tension to the brute, and his lips curled in a half smirk half snarl. Oh, to fight would be lovely. It would look bad on his reputation, but he would enjoy a little scuffle after being to leisurely these past few weeks. "Come on," he provoked through gritted fangs, flattening his ears against his skull menacingly. "You want to fight? Let's do it. I'm ready." He wasn't angry at Daniel at all. He just wanted some action. A thick froth formed on the lining of his maw, and began a slow drip from his fangs as he awaited his captor. But Shadow's more relative speaking caused his excitement to diminish. "Both." He answered, lifting his head to her. "But at seperate times. We still have the rest of fall to begin. Why not enjoy ourselves while we can?" He'd seen winter claim so many lives. After answering her tactical question, he returned his icy glare towards Daniel.

Daniel recoiled from Siren's gaze and glistening fangs. Her amber gaze flicked to the ground and she took a few steps back, ear flat. The golden-cream female, lifted her gaze back up, staring defiantly at the two but held her tongue about shedding any blood. "Look at us. With Winter closing in, we're going against each other. This is not what we need." Daniel realized, her ears pricking. She nudged Siren and Shadow gently, trying to apologie about her earlier behavior. "We need to be thinking about how to prepare for Winter. We don't want a storm like last season." The Proti growled, shaking her fur. The small female waited for a reply, her gaze strong and firm. She figured Siren and Shadow would agree with her, Siren, since he's the leader and her friend. Shadow, because she's reasonable and worries about the pack.

The Koti Den - Part 5 - Page 15 Shadow10
An inward laugh shook the femmora's frame at the sound of Siren's words taunting Daniel in for a fight. Solitude had its price, the yearning desire for combat lurked amongst its toll. Shadow wondered how his blunt approach would work to his favor, she wanted to toy with the golden fae, to see how long until she broke but clearly the Doyen had no time. Looking the brute over, Shadow silently judged his build, his posture. It tempted her to call him out of his depths for a quarrel.

Daniel's movement's caught in Shadow's peripheral vision drew her gaze back upon the golden tinted fae. The fellow Proti had stepped back, retreating from Siren's invisible bound upon her. Shadow's darkened joy flinted away from her grasp, shattered by the single movement that gave submission. It appeared the thrill Shadow sought would not be earned today, she would have to acquire it another way. However, Daniel's words rang true, within a matter of seconds the three wolves had turned their jaws upon one another, seeking unobtainable comfort from battle. Feeling the soft nudge from the golden fae against her flank, Shadow could not resist but to cast her friend a smile. Grudges were not her forte, but wars were, and she would seek one out later.

"Preparing is easy," Shadow commented indirectly agreeing with Daniel. "It's the storm that will tell us if we have worked hard enough." Pausing, Shadow thought back to Siren's words. He was right, Autumn was almost at its end and Mother Nature's wrath would soon be bearing down upon them. It would be worth enjoying the final days outside before stricter duties called. Shifting her glacial orbs toward Siren, she waited for his reply.

Grateful that his lesser had taken notice to his superiority, but rather disappointed that the fight had been cancelled, Siren returned to his normal stance and looked at the horizon. "You're right, Shadow. We can begin hunting tomorrow, and as for preparing the den, that can be started tomorrow as well. The Jeagers and Raffens will be mighty busy." Siren could sense that Shadow was yearning for something. She, too, seemed disappointed when Daniel had submissively backed out of the fight. The Doyen shot a fiery glare at Shadow, a coy grin forming on his maw.

Daniel still had a flash of fire in her eyes and she wanted to wipe the disappointed look off the duos faces. Daniel wound her way between her two friends, shaking her head. "We can't stock up just yet. We should wait a few more weeks, or else the food will go bad. Maybe burying it in the snow will help reserve it if we do hunt now?" The female suggested, her ears twitching as she paced.

The Koti Den - Part 5 - Page 15 Shadow10
Shadow began to think over the members she had seen. The burden of preparation would be too much to place upon the shoulder of two ranks. Perhaps the hunt of a stumbling, weak elk could quench her desire. Joining the hunt would aid the pack and work towards her goal, it seemed a near win but the elk was not enough of a challenge. Shadow highly doubted a bear would wander across her path so late into the year. Feeling Daniel brush past her once more, Shadow caught the glimmer within the depths of the emerald eyes and noticed the sly look upon the Doyen's face. Tilting her head to the side, Shadow's eyes narrowed as she observed the darker toned brute. She was not about to pass up on whatever he was pondering over. "The snow would keep it hidden from predators and hopefully it will keep the meat from rotting," Shadow replied to Daniel but her gaze remained locked on Siren, awaiting his next move.

Siren kept his eyes locked with Shadow's, cautiously searching them for any sign of attack. She was like him in the sense that they both craved action. "Yes," he said to Daniel, but his eyes were wide on Shadow. "That would be very efficient."

Daniel felt the tension spike the air. Decided she actually wanted some action as well, she struck out at Siren, headbutting him in the side, hoping to knock him over. Maybe if a scuffle went out, they would get it out of their systems. She flexed her blunt claws, the blood roaring in her ears. She snarled, her teeth sharp and glistening. Her mouth foamed slightly as she bristled, hackles raised. "Well, are you going to strike?" She taunted Siren.

Young and handsome, the rogue of a dog was lurred on by hunger. He had been seperated from his mother, and was too exhausted to hunt. Hearing voices and barks and snarls from above the treeline, Granum panted and trotted up the side of the snowy slope, his amber/chocolate colored eyes glinting in the sunlight. There was a certain clumsy swagger in his stride, and his large paws carried his lean body to a cluster of wolves that masked the horizon. "Hey," he said almost too casually, although he was quite nervous about who these wolves were and what they were doing.

The Koti Den - Part 5 - Page 15 Shadow10
Shadow's gaze began to waver from the brute's emerald eyes. The shoulders, flank, muzzle, all good options but all so predictable. Would there truly be a way to surprise a brute seeking a quarrel when he was a mere stride away. The leap would be too easy but the force would not be enough. Before her mussels could tense Daniel struck out, head butting Siren. A low chuckle escaped Shadow's throat and a gleam sparked within her optics. Rising to her paws, the ivory female spun around to face the two. Her ears folded back into her skull and her upper lip curled upwards revealing her dagger like incisors. Every vein in her screamed to attack, she could feel her heart pounding the adrenaline. Lifting the fur along her spine and bristling her tail, Shadow lowered her frame downward in an aggressive stance. "Don't mind if I join," she growled, her gaze now flicking between her two opponents.

Siren was flung sideways in response to the headbutt, but recoiled almost instantly as he regained his balance and whipped his head around to seize a fold of flesh from somewhere near Daniel's shoulder. He growled into the fur, his ears pinned and his maw raised above his gums. Then from the corner of his eye he saw Shadow assume her dangerous stance, and asked devilishly if she could join the brawl. "Go ahead, puppy," his voice was muffled through Daniel's scruff, and he let go of her and flung himself towards his white Proti, snapping at her face but not touching it.

Daniel yelped as she was flung on the ground as Siren headed for Shadow. The Proti scrambled to her paws and nipped at Siren's ear, grabbing the soft flesh behind it and giving a tug. The female had not noticed Granum the newcomer in her eagerness for battle.

The Koti Den - Part 5 - Page 15 Shadow10
Leaping back, the femme pushed off with her hind legs, pushing herself forward and around the brute. Moving in an arc, the femme's positioned herself away from the jaws of her opponent. Lunging forward, in a single motion the arc completed and her jaws flashed downward, fastening into the shoulder of the brute. Growling, the femmora kept a firm hold but not enough to break the skin. "Come get me," she taunted lowly. Closing her jaws down further, the rustic taste of the small drops of blood rolled onto her tongue.

It's for your own good, Daniel...

As Siren awaited his opponents move, a flash of brown appeared upon the horizon. "Daniel, go deal with the newcomer. See what he wants, will ya? Thanks!" He nudged Daniel onward to the male a little to harshly, and turned back to Shadow with a devilish look in his eyes. She leaped into him, seizing scruff between her sharp fangs and drawing blood in an easy movement. Laughing at the pain, Siren rolled his eyes back to the female. "Careful now," he growled through a clenched smirk. "Wouldn't want to get that pretty little pelt of yours stained." He twisted out of her hold and buckled into her side, clasping onto the soft flesh below her ear and yanking. In a quick movement, he used a paw to push away Shadow's muzzle, growling as he did so.
